Home Remedies for Heartburn

Heartburn is a very common and unpleasant symptom characterized by a burning sensation in your chest. It happens when stomach acid backs up into your esophagus, so the pain often spread to the throat. The term heartburn is commonly used interchangeably with gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), as it is its main cause, but you can also suffer GERD without this symptom. However, this condition must be treated because frequent heartburn can lead to long-term problems and damages your esophagus. Other causes of heartburn are bad eating habits, stress, pregnancy and alcohol consumption. You should bear in mind that, if you have this symptom with too much frequency, it could be a stomach ulcer. Furthermore, if you have more serious symptoms, such as a crushing chest pain, go and see a doctor, as it could be a heart attack. Here you have several home remedies to fight heartburn:

Juice of eggshell and lemon

Lemon neutralizes gastric juices, as acids should be fought with other acid. Furthermore, calcium also helps to relieve heartburn.Ingredients:1 whole egglemon juicepeel of 1 lemonInstructions:

Prepare this recipe and have it 3 times a week.

Natural Herbs That Benefit Women

Natural Herbs That Benefit Women

In traditional Chinese medicine as well as Ayurveda, the healing practices of India, natural herbs play a pivotal role in health and healing. As there are special herbs for male needs, there are also herbs for women that are known to address their unique health needs. In ancient times, herbal remedies were prescribed for a variety of ailments of mind and body and now their use is becoming more prevalent in modern times.
Why Use Natural Herbs?

After doing research on herbal remedies, I became convinced that they are a great alternative to the frequently dangerous drugs doctors prescribe. These drugs, while doing more harm than good with their side effects don’t even cure the diseases they target. Natural herbs on the other hand, help the body to return to balance. Not only do they address the symptoms but they are also curative. And since they are natural, they come with no side effects if taken properly.
What Can Natural Treatments Help With?

Due to the ancient roots of herbal medicine, there are many herbs know to deal with many of the ailments and conditions specific to women, including:

• Pregnancy - During this time there are many emotional and physical strains on a woman and herbs can help ease the stress pregnancy causes.

• Menopause - Although many may see it as a disease to be treated, menopause is considered a natural occurrence from a healers’ stand point and herbal remedies can help ease the discomfort caused by this transition.

• Fertility - For centuries, women have sought natural herbs to help with this and in modern times several herbs are known to actually help enhance fertility.

• Menstruation - Herbs can help greatly in easing the cramps and discomfort caused during this time of the month.

There are other areas in which natural herbal remedies can help a woman safely promote health and well being. When coupled with a healthy diet, exercise, stress relief (perhaps through yoga and meditation), and getting proper sleep, herbal supplements lay a strong foundation.
Which Natural Herbs are Most Effective?

Although a complete list of all the herbal remedies found effective through the centuries would be well beyond the scope of this article, here is a selection of natural herbs that work well as herbal supplements.
Mugwort. Along with being a natural heart and liver tonic, it also helps with regulating the menstrual cycle.
Nettle. A very important herbal supplement, its varied uses include enriching mother’s milk and stimulating the blood flow. It also provides increased amounts of needed iron and other vitamins.
Motherwort. This is a good herbal remedy for women suffering from menstrual irregularities. It can relieve cramps and stress as well as regulate the menstrual cycle.
Raspberry Leaf. As a tea it is a great source of various vitamins and helps the immune system. As an herbal remedy, it promotes a healthy uterus and minimizes the effects of too much bleeding during a pregnant woman’s delivery.
Cramp Bark. Another great natural herb for pregnant women. As a tea it is a relaxant for women at risk of a miscarriage.
Black Cohash. Useful for woman moving into menopause, it helps alleviate depression associated with this transition as well as hot flashes and other symptoms.

Although many would say that relying on natural treatments alone should not be a substitute for conventional medicine, I believe that the time has come for herbal remedies to be allowed to take their place in the curative process. Since they have so many benefits and no harmful side effects, they have proven over the centuries to be extremely reliable.

If you have any questions, please use the “Contact Me” button above.
What Is Insomnia?

An important fact, I find few people realize insomnia is not a disease but a symptom of something going on in your body. When considering a natural cure for insomnia, it’s extremely helpful to determine why you can’t sleep. As with most natural herbal or holistic remedies, addressing the root of the problem allows you to find the best insomnia treatment for you.
Most of us who have experience insomnia know it’s more than an inability to fall asleep. You might wake up throughout the night, have trouble falling back asleep or wake up too early.
Although you may take something to help you sleep in your medicine chest for an occasional restless night, most people seek treatment when insomnia begins to affect his/her ability to function during the day – usually between two to four weeks of sleepless nights.
Physical Effects of Sleep Deprivation
The inability to sleep interrupts your body’s natural sleep-wake cycle, known as circadian rhythm. This pattern includes different phases of sleep such a non-REM and REM – when we dream. The effects of sleep deprivation go far beyond feeling tired and groggy.
Physical symptoms of insomnia include:
Difficulty focusing or completing tasks
Headaches and migraines
Depression and anxiety
Irritability Your response time is also slower, leaving you more apt to accidents ranging from minor errors to possible falling asleep at the wheel.
Chronic lack of sleep intensify a number of health conditions as well as increases your risk of weight gain, diabetes, cancer, heart problems, high blood pressure and stroke. So, it's a very serious problem. In addition, psychological coping mechanisms become weakened and your immune system doesn’t fight off colds and viruses as it normally would.
Prescription Sleep Medications

If you ask your doctor how to fall asleep fast he/she can prescribe sleeping pills from one of three primary categories: Benzodiazepines, non-benzodiazepine hypnotics and sedating anti-depressants, anti-convulsants or anti-psychotics.
Benzodiazepines are the oldest insomnia treatment. Related to Valium, medications such as Estazolam, Triazolam and Quazepam offer short-term solutions and have sedative effects carry over into the day. Over time, your body develops a tolerance causing the drug to be ineffective; they are also highly addictive with potentially dangerous withdrawal symptoms, including a risk of seizures upon abrupt withdrawal.
Most doctors prefer trying a hypnotic sleeping pill, like Ambien or Sonata, before other drugs. They work faster and longer than benzodiazepines, mimic natural sleep patterns and do not cause sluggishness the next day. Although initially believed not to cause “rebound” insomnia, evidence shows dependency after prolonged usage; increasing the dose as it becomes less effective causes morning drowsiness and a “hangover” effect.
Side Effects of Sleep Medication and Sleeping Pills

Medications that help with sleep offer temporary solutions to how to fall asleep fast with many risks. General side effects include nausea, dizziness, forgetfulness, depression, daytime sluggishness, hallucination, changes in mood, worsening insomnia and the potential for physical and psychological dependence.
Over-the-Counter or OTC Sleep Aids

Over the counter sleep aids, although easily available at your local drug store, still need to be taken with caution. I suggest you read the box for side effects and dosage as well as interactions with medications, herbs or supplements.
The most common OTC sleep aids are antihistamines – best known for treating allergies. The two most common are diphenhydramine, contained in Benadryl, Sleepinal and similar products, and Doxylamine, the main compound in Nighttime Sleep Aid and Unisom. Certain products combine antihistamines with analgesics such as Tylenol PM, while others contain alcohol, like NyQuil.
If you have glaucoma, heart disease, an enlarged prostate or Parkinson’s disease, avoid OTC insomnia cures that contain Diphenhydramine. Doxylamine, an antihistamine used primarily to help with sleep, should not be taken if you have asthma, chronic bronchitis or other lung diseases, glaucoma or a peptic ulcer. If you are pregnant or breast-feeding do not take an antihistamine for sleep without consulting your OB/GYN or family physician. Also get a doctors approval if you take MAOI for depression.
Antihistamines are most effective as a short-term solution if you are asking, how to fall asleep fast. Common side effects include drowsiness, dizziness, headaches, constipation, dry mouth, slow response time, clumsiness, blurred vision, difficulty concentrating and short-term memory loss.
How to Fall Asleep Fast With Natural Sleeping Aids

Choosing natural sleep aids may require a combination of tools and products to help you sleep. Each of our bodies responds to medications, herbs and sleep techniques differently and it may require trial and error to learn how to fall asleep fast.
Safer, often a more effective in the long-term as a cure for insomnia, natural sleep remedies include herbs and supplements as well as changing your sleeping habits.
Finding an Herbal Sleep Aid

Discovering how to fall asleep fast, includes lifestyle changes, exercise and relaxation techniques and finding the best sleep aid. Herbs, supplements and other natural sleeping aids help you achieve natural sleep without harmful side effects or next day grogginess.
Natural sleep remedies include:
Valerian Root – the natural source of Valium, Valerian comes in tincture form or in capsules combined with other herbs; its often the first herbal insomnia treatment recommended by natural practitioners when clients ask how can I fall asleep?
Chamomile – taken as a tea, the herbal sleep aid also helps with digestive issues.
Tryptophan – an amino acid that helps the production of serotonin; often found in foods such as turkey, brown rice, cottage cheese, peanuts and warm milk, tryptophan is safe as part of your diet, but questionable as a supplement.
5-HTP – derived from the amino acid tryptophan, it helps with anxiety, depression and weight control.
Hops – best known as the main ingredient in beer, natural sleeping aids with hops come in the form of tablets and tinctures or capsules containing herbs such as chamomile or passionflower; avoid hops if you have a history of depression, are pregnant or plan to breastfeed.
Passion Flower – as a tea, tincture or capsule, natural sleeping aids with passion flower are most ideal if your sleep is hindered by anxiety or chronic muscle pain.
Kava Kava – natural sleeping pills containing kava kava can cause liver toxicity if taken in high doses; searching how to fall asleep fast shows it been used as an effective muscle relaxer for thousand of years. Many natural sleeping aids contain multiple herbs that address common issues associated with insomnia. An herbal sleep aid can include Peppermint, which helps indigestion and sleep, Lavender, known for its sedative and calming properties, Lemon Balm that works best in conjunction with other sedating herbs and Sage for anxiety and depression.
Sleep Aid Supplements

If you're asking how to fall asleep fast, natural sleeping pills that contain Melatonin, a hormone essential to sleep regulation, support your body’s natural sleep cycle. Melatonin helps you with how to fast asleep fast; however, some people experience headaches, daytime drowsiness, depression, moodiness and decreased libido when taking melatonin on a regular basis.

6 Tips To Improve Your Immune System

1. Diet- Boost your antioxidants by eating more fruits and vegetables. Antioxidants and other nutrients protect and repair cells that have damage caused by free radicals. The three main antioxidant vitamins are Vitamin C, Vitamin E and beta-carotene. For immunity boosting you can find antioxidants in the more colorful fruits and vegetables- especially those with blue, red, purple, orange and yellow colors. Eat these foods lightly steamed or raw...don’t overcook them.

Antioxidants: Pomegranates, blueberries, blackberries, apples, prunes, raisins, cranberries, strawberries, oranges, cherries, bananas, plums, onions, beans, red grapes, acai, noni, kiwi fruit, apricot, peach, pear, watermelon, honeydew melon, kale, spinach, Brussels sprouts, broccoli, beets, red bell pepper, onion, corn and eggplant.

Beta-carotenes: Broccoli, cantaloupe, corn, tomatoes, sweet potatoes, pink grapefruit, apricots, asparagus, spinach, tangerines, pumpkins, peaches, collard greens, kale, green peppers, turnip beets, nectarines and squash.

Vitamin C: Sweet potatoes, tomatoes, berries, orange, red, green or yellow peppers, snow peas, strawberries, broccoli, Brussel sprouts, cantaloupe, cauliflower, grapefruit, honeydew, papaya, nectarines and mangoes.

Vitamin E: Nuts, pumpkins, spinach, broccoli, carrots, chard, mustard and turnip greens, red peppers, sunflower seeds, mangoes and papayas.

Zinc: Red meat, poultry, nuts, seafood, dairy products, whole grains, beans and oysters.

Selenium: Beef, poultry, Brazil nuts, tuna, fortified breads and other grain products.

2. Exercise- If you workout on a regular basis you’ll get your T-cells (white blood cells known as lymphocytes) moving and they will help guard your body against infection. It’s been proven that if you take a brisk walk for just 30 minutes a day, you’ll cut your risk of colds by half, so make sure you have a strong immune system.

Make sure you wash using warm water and soap for 15 to 20 seconds before eating, preparing food, and after sneezing, touching public surfaces or using the bathroom. Also, to prevent sickness, get a full eight hours of sleep every night which will help regulate your immune system.

5. Lifestyle- When you have a healthy immune system you’ll have more energy. If your system is worn down, you’ll be less likely to fight off infections. Cells in the immune system can be destroyed or damaged by free radicals which are unstable oxygen molecules. Free radicals can develop from poor nutrition, ultraviolet rays from the sun, X-rays, car exhaust, industrial fumes, cigarettes, alcohol, pollutants in the air and chemicals in our food. Immune system herbs will help you fight these toxins.

If you can maintain normal blood pressure and improve your circulation with the right natural high blood pressure remedies instead of using prescription drugs.

Why Worry About High Blood Pressure?

High blood pressure has NO symptoms...that’s why it’s called the “silent killer”. There are no signs of high blood pressure. The only way you’ll know if you have it is to check your blood pressure. In the U.S. about 1/3 of adults have high blood pressure. And 30% don’t know they have it. That puts them at risk for heart attack, stroke, heart problems, kidney disease and in some cases blindness.
Hypertension is a dangerous problem because it makes the heart work harder, and the increased pressure can harm the arteries and the heart. I would rather use high blood pressure remedies with all-natural ingredients because they are safer to use and the price factor of drugs.

Permanent Hemorrhoids Remedy

“Discover A Treatment For Hemorrhoids That Works”

Need a safe hemorrhoids remedy for permanent relief to this problem? Have you tried over-the-counter treatments and nothing seemed to work? You just need a safe hemorrhoid remedy that works fast, and relieves the pain, itching and swelling. Hemorrhoids can cause great pain, discomfort and difficulties to the sufferers. The burning and uncomfortable feeling while sitting can make you feel embarrassed and put stress into your life.
What Exactly Are Hemorrhoids?

Hemorrhoids, also called piles, are veins that are swollen and inflamed in your lower rectum and anus. These dilated veins can swell from either inside (internal) or outside (external) the anal canal.

Hemorrhoids are a very common problem. Over 75% of the people in the United States have hemorrhoid flair ups at some time in their lives.
What Are The Symptoms?

Finding a real hemorrhoids remedy to this embarrassing problem can be a challenge. Probably the worst symptoms you’re dealing with are pain and the itchy discomfort in your anal region. Recent studies have shown that a natural hemorrhoid remedy can cure these symptoms and keep them from coming back.

The following is a list of the most common symptoms of both external and internal hemorrhoids:
Irritation or itching in the anal region
Hemorrhoids protruding from the anus
Bleeding during a bowel blood can be seen on toilet paper after a bowel movement
Pain or discomfort
Swelling around the anus
A painful or sensitive bulge near the anus
Possible leakage of feces
What Causes Hemorrhoids?

To learn how to relieve hemorrhoids, it helps to know what causes them. Hemorrhoids are caused by an increase in pressure on the veins in the rectal and pelvic area. When pressure increases, blood begins to pool or collect in the veins and that causes the veins to swell. As the pressure increases the veins stretch the surrounding a result, hemorrhoids develop.

The following is a list of reasons why hemorrhoids can develop:

Continued constipation or diarrhea, which cause straining and pressure on veins in the anal canal.
Poor bowel habits. Postponing bowel movements...go as soon as you get the urge. Avoid straining when having a bowel movement. Don’t sit for long periods of time on the toilet.
Pregnancy and labor.
Lack of fiber in the diet. This makes stools harder and more difficult to eliminate.
Dehydration- Drink 8 to 10 glasses of water a day. Consuming too much diuretic liquids, like coffee or sodas. This can lead to hard stools.
Obesity- I’ve read that doctors think that the extra weight adds pressure to the anus area and causes hemorrhoids to form.
Sedentary lifestyle- Exercise for at least 30 minutes, 5 or more times a week will promote smooth, regular bowel movements.
Age- Hemorrhoids are more common as we age because the veins in the rectum can weaken and stretch.
9 Tips For Hemorrhoids Relief

1. I would suggest using non alcohol medicated wet wipes or baby wipes instead of rough toilet paper for soothing hemorrhoids relief. Toilet paper can aggravate the itching.

2. For temporary relief, try aloe vera gel directly on the anus. It has traits similar to aspirin. Topical treatments bring short term relief. They will wipe off quickly, so you’ll be back to square one.

3. Keep the anal area clean. Use mild soap and warm water, then dab gently after a bowel movement. This will reduce swelling and increase blood supply. Avoid vigorous rubbing of the anal area.

4. If you’re constipated, I would suggest using a stool softener. Don’t use a laxative or any other type of over-the-counter medicine because they can cause diarrhea, which can inflame hemorrhoids. For relief of constipation, see my article "Constipation Natural Remedies".

5. Eat foods high in fiber- Foods like cereals, whole-grain breads, raw and dried fruits, raw vegetables and beans. And limit foods like soft drinks, ice cream, white bread, cheese and red meat. Bulking agents will also increase fiber, such as Metamucil, Citrucel, and Fibercon.

6. Avoid certain food- If certain foods or beverages seem to make your symptoms get worse, avoid them. This might include spicy foods, nuts, coffee and alcohol.

7. Apply ice packs- You can use cold compresses or ice packs on the anus to relieve swelling. Ice is often use in hemroid treatments.

8. Use a sitz bath- Soak in warm water 2 to 4 times a day...this will help relieve the symptoms.

9. See a doctor if your hemorrhoid symptoms began with a change in your bowel habits. Also, see a doctor if you’re passing tarry or black stools, blood clots or blood that is mixed in with your stools. If you experience large amounts of rectal bleeding, dizziness or faintness seek emergency care right away.

These tips for self-care may lessen the symptoms, but they won’t make them disappear completely. An internal hemorrhoid or external hemorrhoid will often bleed. Depending on the severity, bleeding hemorrhoids can be treated using natural herbal remedies.
Conventional Hemorrhoids Remedy
Over-the-counter creams, suppositories, ointments and pads are the conventional treatment for hemorrhoids. These products contain ingredients like hydrocortisone and with witch hazel. These hemorrhoids remedies can temporarily relieve pain and itching. However, most doctors caution using products like this for more than a week because they can cause dangerous side inflammation, skin rash and skin thinning so you can use them for a longer time. An all-natural hemorrhoids remedy will not cause these problems.
Another conventional hemorrhoids remedy is rubber band ligation. In this procedure, a doctor places one or two rubber bands around the base of the hemorrhoid to cut off circulation. After a few days it dies and falls off. This can be uncomfortable and may cause bleeding.
Sclerotherapy- In this hemorrhoids remedy, a doctor injects a chemical into the hemorrhoid to shrink it. This process is less effective that using the rubber bands.
Infrared, laser or bipolar- These procedures use laser, infrared light or heat to coagulate the swollen veins. Hemorrhoids can still come back using this type of treatment.
Surgical procedures- If other procedures don’t work your doctor may recommend surgery as a hemorrhoids remedy. This surgery is called a hemorrhoidectomy. Surgery has the highest rate of complications.
Permanent Hemorrhoids Remedy

There are several natural products on the market to relieve this problem. From my experience the one that works the best and quickest is “Venapro”. I’ve seen it work wonders for literally hundreds of my former customers. (it worked for about 85% of them)It stops the itching, bleeding, pain and swelling of hemorrhoids...for long lasting relief. I used to sell another treatment for hemorrhoids, but nothing seems to work as fast as Venapro. It works from within to get to the underlying cause of the problem. Just 2 sprays, 3 times a day really seems to work.

Venapro will stop the itching, pain, bleeding and swelling of hemorrhoids. You be the judge. Try Venapro and see if it works for you.

“Expert Advice On How To Get Rid Of Constipation”

Constipation Natural Remedies provides tips and advice to resolve this unpleasant problem. Are you feeling bloated and uncomfortable...and strain during bowel movements? Have you tried over-the-counter laxatives and find them too harsh on your system? The right constipation remedies and lifestyle changes can give you the relief you’re looking for... and without dangerous side effects.
What Really Causes Constipation?

Through my extensive research on natural health, I’ve learned that the best step you can take to begin tackling a pesky health issue is to become as informed as possible about it. Constipation is no exception. Did you know that nearly 15% of U.S. adults suffer from constipation at one time or another? Finding a solution is important not just for comfort’s sake, but because if left untreated, this problem can cause permanent damage to your digestive system.

That’s why it’s a good idea to learn about why it happens and find some remedies for constipation so that you can start enjoying life without having to deal with this annoying problem.

The first thing you need to know is that constipation is a symptom of a problem, not a disease in itself. If you’re healthy, you should be having 1 to 3 bowel movements a day if you’re eating 3 meals a day.

The Main Symptoms Of Constipation Are:
Infrequent bowel movements (less than 1 per day)
Stools that are small and dry
Feeling pain and difficulty while trying to eliminate
General discomfort
Should I See A Doctor?

In some cases, constipation is so serious that you’ll want to see a doctor. For example, if constipation along with fever, blood in your stool or abdominal pain, you should seek medical attention. Constipation that lasts for extended periods of time should also be addressed as soon as possible, since you can permanently damage your intestinal tract if it goes untreated.

In other cases, constipation is due to lifestyle factors, in which case certain changes and constipation natural remedies will be effective. My suggestion to those dealing with constipation is to take action now – don’t wait for the problem to get worse. Find a remedy for constipation that works so you can become regular once again, feel better, and live a long healthy life.

Constipation Can Lead To:
Colon cancer
Toxins in your blood
Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS)
Poor memory, concentration, confusion
Weakened immune system
What Goes Wrong?

Understanding how the colon works really shed some light for me on why people become constipated and how it can be treated. Let me give you a little insight that I found helpful; when food moves through the colon, it absorbs liquid while forming waste products or stool. What happens if the muscles in the colon contract too slowly or not enough is that this slows the process so more water is absorbed. The result? The fecal matter becomes very dry and hard, making defecation can very difficult and painful.
7 Reasons or Causes of Constipation

1. Lack of fiber- This is probably the most common cause of constipation. We need plenty of fiber in order for waste to pass through the colon efficiently and thoroughly. Fiber also promotes healthy bacteria in the colon, which work to break down waste and stimulate proper bowel contractions. Fiber also gives stools bulk and a soft texture which makes them easy (and painless!) to pass. For this reason, high-fiber foods can act effectively as constipation natural remedies. Choose foods high in insoluble fiber, such as:
whole grains

Foods that contain “refined flour” have very little or no fiber. Eating too many fiber-poor foods slows the normal and healthy wave-like motion of the intestines that is needed to pass digested matter through the body. You should limit your intake of sweet, processed products like ice cream and pastries, opting instead for foods with lots of fiber.

2. Lack of water- When you’re not getting enough water, your body will compensate by taking it from anywhere it can find it. If this happens, your stools will become dry and hard due to lack of water to soften the stools. If you’re looking for a remedy for constipation, it might be as close as your kitchen tap: Everyone needs at least 8 eight ounce glasses of water a day. Coffee, tea and sodas do not count – they actually dehydrate you even further and can make your constipation worse.

3. Stress & anxiety- This cause really surprised me, and although it’s not completely clear how stress, anxiety and irritable bowel syndrome are related, studies do show that there is a connection. One theory is that people with anxiety, who tend to worry more about issues such as money, health or careers are tenser. This tension manifests in the body and can tighten up muscles in the digestive tract and lead to problems..

Following that logic, my suggestion would be to reduce stress. I recommend relaxation exercises – you can simply sit quietly and breathe slowly and deeply. As you rest, think about relaxing each part of your body, starting with your head and ending with your toes. This simple exercise will help get rid of any tension and provide some relief from constipation.

4. Over use of laxatives and certain medications can cause:
Stomach cramps
Diarrhea leading to dehydration
Rectal bleeding
Electrolyte imbalance
Permanent damage to the colon can cause the muscles that control a bowel movement to become weak so they won’t be able to function on their own

Certain medications can also cause or worsen constipation. If you feel that this is the case, check with your doctor about switching to a different medication. Common culprits include:
Medication like morphine and codeine
Calcium antacid pills that have aluminum and calcium
Some calcium channel blockers
Anti-parkinson drugs
Some antidepressants

Check with your healthcare provider, he/she can often prescribe a different medication if you suspect your medication is causing your constipation.

5. Congested liver- The main function of the liver is to process and get rid of toxins in the body. Over time, an unhealthy lifestyle that includes things like a high fat, low fiber processed food diet and inactivity will contribute to liver overload or toxicity of the liver. This condition can result in chronic constipation.

To combat this situation, it’s important to eat a well-balanced, high fiber diet in order to promote healthy bile flow. If you suspect that an unhealthy liver is the root cause of your constipation, there are some excellent constipation natural remedies in the form of liver cleaners on the market. Fortunately, treating constipation in this way by using constipation natural remedies is not harmful to your intestinal tract.

6. Change in routine- The stress of something as simple as a “change in routine” can often lead to constipation. I have experienced this myself a few times. When I travel, it takes me a few days for my system to get going. This happens to quite a few people who travel. Now, as a precaution, I always take my constipation natural remedies with me – just in case.

Even though it can be inconvenient, don’t ever ignore the urge to have a bowel movement. Doing so will only make things worse!

7. Pregnancy- Pregnant women have an increase in the hormone progesterone, which slows the movement of food through the digestive tract. This hormonal change can be balanced out by eating plenty of high fiber food such as cereals, fresh fruit, vegetables and whole grain bread every day and drinking plenty of water. Regular exercise is also important for women to stay in shape during and after pregnancy.
Dangerous Side Effects Of Laxatives

Serious side effects of laxatives- Many people turn to over-the-counter laxatives for constipation relief. Unfortunately, over-the-counter laxatives are not safe if used for too long and can actually decrease your intestine’s natural ability to contract and move fecal matter. So, they aren’t really a long-term solution.

Laxatives can also be very harsh on your system. They can also become additive and lead to dependency and decreased bowel movement as your body loses the ability to “take care of business” on its own. That’s why it’s so important to find constipation natural remedies that are easy on your digestive system without this harmful effect.

Some rectal and oral laxatives can also cause an electrolyte imbalance if you use them for too long. Electrolytes are the salts that control the electric activity in your body. They affect all kinds of important systems, including your muscle contraction, nerve function, heart rhythm, and fluid balance.

Constipation natural remedies are safest to use because they don’t have the side effects that other treatments do. Some studies I came across even show that certain over-the-counter laxatives kill friendly bacteria. These bacteria, also known as probiotics, are vital to our well-being! Friendly bacteria are needed in the intestines to break down food allow the body to better absorb valuable nutrients. These bacteria also combat the other, harmful bacteria that can cause infection. Fortunately, constipation natural remedies do not kill these friendly bacteria.

While I don’t recommend most laxatives for anyone, it’s especially critical not to give them to children under 6 without recommendation from a doctor. The same goes for women who are pregnant. Even constipation natural remedies should be used with careful caution for young children and pregnant women – if you’re not sure, ask your healthcare provider!
